The newsletter is made up of a variety of reports concerning the UN Security Council’s activities.
These reports focus on specific themes relating to issues the Security Council is currently dealing with. Attention is paid to South Africa’s positions on the various issues before the Council.
South Africa serves its second term on the Council since January 201. It previously served on the Council in 2007 and 2008.
The other African countries on the 15-member Council are Nigeria and Gabon.
