The Oliver R Tambo Law Library houses a strong collection of the primary legal materials of African countries - that is legislation and law reports - as well as secondary legal materials, such as textbooks. The collection is of great potential use to anyone with a research interest into the law of Africa. The Law of Africa Collection is divided into two categories: Apart from this, the Library catalogue can be consulted for textbooks and journals.

The Law of Africa Collection website lists our holdings, as well as the location and the period covered. Much of the material can only be accessed in the Oliver R Tambo Law Library. - Material with location CD Law Databases indicates databases only available through the University's network to users on campus.
- To access links to websites, you will have to be a registered library user, and will be prompted for your student/personnel number and a self-selected PIN number.
- Links to the catalogue will indicate the shelf number where the material can be found.
* Outside users can access the links to open websites by: Right-click on the website link, select copy shortcut, paste the shortcut in the internet address bar and remove the 0- and .innopac.up.ac.za from the website address.
