Human Rights Clinics - LLM Human Rights & Democratisation in Africa
In 2013 the Centre will be running nine Human Rights Clinics. These Human Rights Clinics focus on real-life and contemporary human rights issues, ranging from the submission of cases or 'communications' to African-based human rights courts or human rights treaty bodies, to contributions to the thematic reports of UN Special Rapporteurs.
In the first semester (January to July), students of the LLM (Human Rights & Democratisation in Africa) spend some time working on these Clinics.
A Centre staff member or doctoral student / tutor supervises each of these groups. Undergraduate students (LLB) also participate, particularly during the second semester (July - November).
